"Information is one of the most important tools in fighting disease and managing your health. The most fulfilling part of my job as co-host of Good Morning America was delivering viewers the latest medical information, life saving information; so that they could make better informed decisions about their health. The first job I ever had, long before my Broadcasting career, was working in a hospital. I grew up the daughter of a doctor. I think the media is an incredibly important and useful adjunct to the medical profession-reaching millions of people each day with information that can save their lives.
I understand the challenges that moms in the "sandwich" generation face as they manage the health and wellness of their growing children and their aging parents. ConcierCare™ was created so individuals can request records or x-ray films from their physicians or hospitals and not be bothered with the "legwork". A PassportMD concierge will contact your doctor, retrieve, organize, and load your records securely into your PassportMD account.
The ConcierCare Service is available to PassportMD members in two ways:
- Medical Records — For a fee of $39.95 per request a PassportMD concierge will contact your doctor, collect, organize and store your medical records for you.
- X-Ray Images hosted in PassportMD's eRadiology Room — For a fee of $59.95 per request, a PassportMD concierge will go to one location, a healthcare provider, hospital or institution and collect all your radiology films from that location. Once collected, we will digitize the films (that means will convert them from paper film to a digital image). Once the concierge has digitized your films, we will upload them securely into PassportMD's eRadiology Room. Here we will host them and enable you to share these images with your doctor by giving him authorized access to your eRadiology Room. These films will be in diagnostic quality for your doctors review (as compared to a lower quality, so called "reference quality" of a jpeg file).
